TRIPLE H NAMED AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL TALENT STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT

There has been a shift at the top of WWE corporate recently. Michelle Wilson and George Barrios have both left the company recently, leading to a reshuffle at the very top of WWE.

Revealed in documents released to stockholders, WWE has moved Triple H from Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events & Creative, a position he has held since 2011, to Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development. A press release from WWE can be seen below:

Paul “Triple H” Levesque has served as our Executive Vice President, Global Talent Strategy & Development since February 2020, and prior thereto was Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative since August 2011. In his current role, he oversees the Company’s Talent Relations and Talent Development departments. Additionally, Mr. Levesque plays an integral role in the Company’s creative process, helping shape the creative direction and storylines of WWE’s programming. Mr. Levesque is revolutionizing the business with his global recruiting strategy and developmental training processes. In order to create a platform for future success, he established the Company’s state of the art training facility, the WWE Performance Center, which paved the way for the WWE’s third global brand, NXT. Mr. Levesque debuted as a WWE Superstar, “Triple H”, in 1995 and has held the WWE Heavyweight Championship title 14 times. He has captured every major championship, headlined thousands of WWE events, and entertained millions around the world. It should also be noted that Frank A. Riddick III is currently serving as WWE’s Chief Financial Officer in an interim capacity.

PAIGE AND JEFF HARDY BOTH ANNOUNCED FOR FRIDAY’S SMACKDOWN

Announced during last night’s episode of RAW, both Jeff Hardy and Paige will be returning to WWE TV screens this Friday night. The announcement came in a SmackDown advert during RAW.

Jeff made a recent appearance on WWE Backstage. During the interview, he revealed that he is cleared to return to the ring, and was just waiting for a creative opening.

The same clip also revealed that Paige would confront SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley. It’s possible that Friday’s promo may set up a greater feud. Paige tweeted “I guess I’m going back to work Friday.. see you soon Bayley” following the announcement.

STYLES-TAKER CONTRACT SIGNING ON RAW NEXT WEEK (16/3/20)

WWE has confirmed that next week’s episode of RAW will feature AJ Styles and the Undertaker in a contract signing segment. The announcement follows Styles’ challenge on last night’s RAW, along with some choice words for the Deadman. The WWE.com website has written the following about next Monday and the WrestleMania match:

A contract signing between Styles and The Phenom has been set for next week’s Raw, wherein their WrestleMania match will be made. Given Styles’ various insults to The Phenom’s reputation, his abilities, and his family, it’s safe to say at least one party will be very incentivized to attend. For a Superstar who prides himself on creating moments, Styles is setting himself up one for one of the most memorable in recent history. Whether he makes it to the end of it, of course, is another matter entirely.

Edge’s return headlined this week’s show. Edge was taken out for several weeks by an attack by Randy Orton. Additionally, on last week’s RAW, Randy Orton RKO’d Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix, causing quite a stir over social media
