BRET HART REPORTEDLY TURNS DOWN RAW REUNION SHOW

According to Dave Meltzer, Bret Hart turned down the WWE when asked about appearing at this Monday’s RAW Reunion show. It isn’t known why the Hitman refused the offer.

Hart appeared on AEW’s debut event, Double or Nothing. After the show, Hart appeared on the Sunday Main Event podcast, on the show he commented that he’d heard nothing negative from WWE regarding his appearance. Bret also noted that his contract allows him to work outside of WWE.

ROH CONCLUDE INTERNAL INVESTIGATION INTO BULLY RAY-FAN INCIDENT

Earlier this year there was a backstage incident involving Bully Ray and a fan. After the incident ROH promised to conduct an investigation, the company released a statement today concluding that process. The statement, released to PWInsider reads:

“We have now concluded our internal investigation into the events that occurred in Portland on June 2nd and have taken appropriate actions with all parties involved. Our Code of Honor, which calls for sportsmanship, respect and honor in – and outside of the ring is a core value of this company and one we will continue to strive to uphold. To all of our loyal and dedicated fans, we apologize for the incident that transpired and we encourage all of our fans to continue attending our events. Furthermore, we promise to continue delivering the best wrestling and the best live experience on the planet. In adherence to Ring of Honor policy, we will not comment further on these matters.”

At the Portland show, Josh Ketch got into a verbal confrontation with a number of female wrestlers including Velvet Sky and Mandy Leon. Later Josh was led backstage and spoken to regarding his actions. Josh alleges that he was intimidated by Bully Ray, Ray insists that he did nothing wrong and the fan just didn’t like being called out for his actions.

PWG ANNOUNCE CMLL STAR FOR BOLA

Early this morning, PWG announced that CMLL’s Barbaro Cavernario was the fifteenth competitor to enter this year’s Battle of Los Angeles tournament.

This will mark Cavernario’s debut with PWG and only his second match in the United States. While Cavernario hasn’t competed in Northern America, he made his debut in 2010 at a freelance show before competing for NJPW, REAL, MDA and many others.

MJF EXTENDS HIS AEW CONTRACT

The announcement came through a video released by AEW. In the post it is explained that he converted his existing contract to a multiple-year deal. While more details are not forthcoming at the moment, MJF has been featured heavily in AEW promotional material so far.

NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS MATCH FOR THE IMPACT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ANNOUNCED

Tessa Blanchard and Sami Callihan will take part in a number one contenders match following their performance in the Tag-Team Mash-Up Tournament. With the pair being randomly drawn together and beating the team of Trey and Dave Crist, they were through to the elimination portion of the tournament. With Blanchard hitting the magnum and winning the tournament, the pair also won the chance to be number one contender to Brian Cage’s title.
