DEFIANT Wrestling To Close Down

DEFIANT Wrestling announces that it will cease promoting.

The Former What Culture Pro Wrestling to cease promoting.

DEFIANT Wrestling has announced that after three years, they will no longer be in business.

The former WCPW began life on May 25, 2016, in Newcastle, showcasing the best in independent wrestling with a weekly YouTube show called Loaded. They boasted such stars as Kurt Angle, Will Ospreay, Bret Hart, Ricochet, Bully Ray and Matt Hardy and held several big iPPV events. WCPW ceased in late 2017 after the departure of several on-air and behind-the-scenes talent.

It rebranded as DEFIANT on December 4th, 2017 with it’s inaugural ‘We Are Defiant’, working on a monthly event basis and no longer airing the Loaded YouTube show. Loaded returned in 2018 and aired until it’s closure.

DEFIANT held it’s final event ‘Built to Destroy’ on June 29th, 2019. They originally aired it on Access DEFIANT, before releasing it for free on their YouTube channel.
