One of the most legendary tag teams in wrestling history is to be immortalized at WrestleMania weekend, as The Dudley Boyz have been announced for the 2018 Hall Of Fame.

As first reported by CBS Sports, the team that has held twenty four tag team champions across their twenty-two year career will be the second inductees in this years class, alongside Goldberg.

Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley made their name in Extreme Championship Wrestling, becoming arguably the most hated act in the companies history as well as their most successful, winning eight ECW World Tag Team Championships. They then moved to the WWE and won eight World Tag Team Titles, one WWE Tag Team Championship and a WCW Tag Team Title. They were also one third of the now infamous Table, Ladders and Chairs matches alongside The Hardy Boys and Edge and Christian which stole the show at both SummerSlam 2000 and WrestleMania X-Seven.

They departed WWE in 2005 and joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, where they continued their tag team dominance, winning one NWA World Tag Team Championship and two TNA World Tag Team Titles. They also had singles success, with D-Von winning a TNA World Television Title and Bubba (known then as Bully Ray) becoming a two time TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

They returned to WWE in 2015 and faced the likes of The New Day, The Wyatt Family and The Usos. They were around for only a year before Bubba left to work for Ring Of Honor and D-Von took a producer position within World Wrestling Entertainment. They did appear at Raw 25, 3Ding Heath Slater through a table.
