Former WWE Tag Team Champion Jim Neidhart Passes Away Aged 63

Former WWF Tag Team Champion Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart has passed away at the age of 63.

One part of the infamous ‘Hart Foundation’ and one of the most colourful characters in the WWF in it’s heyday, Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart has sadly passed away.

He died at his home earlier today. He was 63 years old.

Neidhart began his career after his release from NFL side Dallas Cowboys, when he joined Stu Hart’s Stampede Wrestling. He moved to World Wrestling Federation when Stampede was sold and formed a tag team with Bret Hart called ‘The Hart Foundation’. He won the WWF Tag Team Championship with Hart on two occasions and was also a part of the Hart Foundation faction with Hart, British Bulldog, Owen Hart and Brian Pillman. He also wrestled in New Japan Pro Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling and even Extreme Championship Wrestling for a brief time.

His daughter Natalya is currently a veteran performer in WWE, and a former Divas Champion.

TWM offers its thoughts and prayers to the Neidhart family at this time.
