FOX Already Gunning For AEW?

With several rumours coming from Dave Meltzer than AEW’s weekly show will air on Wednesday’s 8-10pm, it appears the new home of SmackDown Live are already planning their next move.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that FOX will be testing out two new cameras for the debut and are looking to invite a lot of celebrities and give the show the feel of a major event, which is a reason that it’s being held in Los Angeles. It was noted that the idea is to make WWE look as major league as possible, which in turn would make AEW look minor league by comparison

Jinder Mahal Undergoes Knee Surgery

Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal is set for a spell on the sidelines following knee surgery.

Mahal revealed on Instagram today that he underwent surgery at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He also anbnounced that he ruptured his patella tendon on Saturday, June 15 at the WWE live event in Denver, Colorado facing Ali.

There is no word on a date for his return, but he did say  that surgery went well and his knee is better than expected.

WWE Possibly Moving Next Saudi Arabia Show

WWE could possibly be moving the date for their next major event in Saudi Arabia, after they cancelled several dates of their upcoming UK tour.

WWE canceled the November 5 event in Nottingham, the November 6 event in Birmingham, the November 8 event in London, and the November 9 event in Minehead. The original event was meant to be on Friday, November 1st; the same day as an episode of SmackDown Live on FOX.

WWE should be making an official announcement on their fourth return to Saudi Arabia soon.

Paul Heyman Advertised For RAW

The American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas is advertising a special appearance by Paul Heyman for Monday’s episode of RAW.

The arena released an e-mail alert today that says, “See what Paul Heyman has in store for Monday Night RAW!”

The arena is also advertising Baron Corbin vs. WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins and Lacey Evans vs. RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch for Monday’s RAW, likely as the dark main events.
