BAYLEY TALKS WWE WORKERS CONDITIONS IN INTERVIEW

Earlier this week Bayley was interviewed by Kristine Leahy for her FS1 show, Fair Game. In the clip, Leahy is visibly shocked when she learns first hand of some of the conditions the WWE stars have to work under.

Some of the more interesting parts of the above clip are when Kristine learns that the stars have to drive themselves to the next venue after the show. This then leads to a brief mention of the idea of a union for the stars.

Although Bayley insisted that the wrestlers were looked after by the company, and some of the positive friendships and moments that have happened because of the conditions, this seems to do little to convince Kristine.

This clip was tweeted by Kristine’s FS1 show account on Thursday but was deleted earlier today.

SLAMMIVERSARY NUMBERS

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, last Sunday’s Slammiversary 17 drew 1,500 pay per view buys. This puts the event at an almost identical footing to ROH, which drew an estimated 1,400 for their Best in the World pay per view. The numbers were so close that one provider had only a six buy difference between the two events.

Live attendance at Slammiversary was placed at around 850, which was a sell-out for Gilley’s Dallas with the way it was set up.

DETAILS ON FORMER WWE’S LEWD TEXT’S TO CO-HOST

Former WWE star Tyrus was been fired from his job presenting his Fox Nation show. The star was removed from the show, titled Un-PC, due to a sexual-harassment complaint filed against him by co-host Britt McHenry.

McHenry’s close friends have spoken out in defence of the star, speaking to the Huffington Post to reveal the content of messages reportedly send from Tyrus to McHenry. The messages, which are disgusting if proven true, were shared with friends months ago when McHenry was seeking advice on the situation.

In a statement sent to WrestlingInc, Fox News, refused to comment on what is an HR matter:

As we have previously said, this matter was immediately and thoroughly investigated by an outside law firm that was charged with providing us with independent factual findings and recommendations for action based on all of the evidence. We have consistently done this in other employee matters of this nature. All protocols were followed and the recommendations we received were appropriate and promptly implemented. We respect the confidentiality of our employees and their involvement in any HR process and therefore will not comment on the results of the investigation.”
