Jeff Hardy was arrested on Saturday night for driving whilst impaired in Concord, North Carolina.
At 8:11pm, Hardy ran his car off the road and struck a guardrail on Concord Parkway. This caused his car to spin out into the middle of the right northbound lane. He was arrested at 10:39 pm by the Concord Police Department, and then was released later that evening at 11:24pm.
TMZ reports that Hardy blew a BAC (blood alcohol level) of .25 on his Breathalyzer test, which is three times the legal limit.
The police report listed an estimated $5,000 in damages to the 105 foot of guardrail, owned by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and that could be a factor in what Hardy is ordered to pay. Hardy’s first court date is scheduled for Monday, April 16th and driver’s license has been suspended for 30 days, which is standard in that state following a DWI arrest.
WWE have released the following statement regarding Hardy;
“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”
Hardy has been out of action since suffering a torn right rotator cuff in September and was rumoured to be returning imminently.
