MICHAEL COLE RECEIVES PROMOTION

According to PWInsider, Michael Cole has received a promotion within World Wrestling Entertainment.

The veteran announcer was recently promoted to a new title, Vice President of Announcing several weeks ago. Cole has been with WWE since 1997.

JEFF HARDY COURT DATE PUSHED BACK

Jeff Hardy scheduled court date has been pushed back to Monday, May 11th to answer DWI charges from his October 2019 arrest.

Hardy was scheduled to be back in a Moore County, North Carolina court room today, but the date has been continued due to Chief Justice Cheri Beasley announcing back in mid-March that most District and Superior court cases in the state would be continued for at least 30 days due to the coronavirus pandemic.

 Hardy recently returned to action for WWE on the March 13th SmackDown on FOX episode, defeating King Corbin.

WRESTLEMANIA 36 RECEIVES BIGGEST SOCIAL INTERACTION EVER

According to Pro Wrestling Illustrated, WWE has told them this weekend’s WrestleMania has over 13.8 million social media interactions across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

According to Neilsen Social, That is up 57% from last year and makes WrestleMania 36 the biggest in history, in regards to social media interactions.

TAMPA BAY TO BID FOR WRESTLEMANIA 38

According to @Wrestlevotes on Twitter, Tampa Bay will be in the running to host WrestleMania 38 in 2022.

With the initial legwork done for this year, Tampa Bay is said to be still very much eager to host the big event, which brings a significant economic impact to host cities.

They have alluded to it being a lock, but nothing has been confirmed at the current time.

KENNY OMEGA TEAM WITH MICHAEL NAKAZAWA ON DYNAMITE THIS WEEK

Kenny Omega is teaming up with Michael Nakazawa on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, taking on The Best Friends, Chuck Taylor and Trent.

Omega is one half of the AEW Tag Team Champions, alongside Hangman Page. Page hasn’t been on Dynamite since March 18th, which was the first closed set episode.

AEW’s TNT Championship tournament will also begin this Wednesday with Cody and Shawn Spears facing off in a first round match.
