JOHN CENA CONFIRMED FOR RAW REUNION

John Pollock from Post Wrestling has confirmed that John Cena is expected to be at tonight’s RAW Reunion show.

Cena hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania, focusing instead on his acting career.

It was reported yesterday that when asked about the show earlier, Cena had previously shrugged off the event.

BECKY LYNCH TAKING PART IN MOMENT OF BLISS AT RAW REUNION SHOW

Sports Illustrated announced this morning that Becky Lynch would be Alexa Bliss’ guest this evening on ‘Moment of Bliss’. This evening’s episode takes place during the RAW Reunion show which will feature a huge number of stars from past and present.

Bliss cut a promo for sports Illustrated, promising to expose Becky Lynch during the interview segment:

“I’ve known Becky for a very long time, and I remember her first day in NXT. One of my first rivalries in WWE after I debuted on SmackDown was against Becky. She is the perfect person to interview, and expose, on A Moment of Bliss.”

NXT TAG TITLE MATCH SET FOR TAKEOVER: TORONTO

WWE has officially confirmed that the tag team titles will be on the line at NXT TakeOver: Toronto. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford of The Street Profits will put their titles on the line against the team of Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish of The Undisputed Era.

O’Reilly and Fish only just missed out on claiming the titles in the eight man ladder match where Dawkins and Ford clinched them.

Also at the event, Adam Cole will take on Johnny Gargano for his NXT Championship in a two-out-of-three falls match with special stipulations.

NXT RETURNS FROM INJURY AT LIVE EVENT

At last night’s NXT Live event, Dominik Dijakovic returned from a knee injury. Dijakovic has been absent since tearing the meniscus in his knee in April. In May he underwent successful surgery to repair the damage and was expected to make his return in August, but sprised fan but making an appearance last night. The event, held in Cocoa, Florida saw Dijakovic defeat Cezar Bononi.

BYRON SAXTON’S FATHER PASSES AWAY

WWE commentator Bryon Saxton shared the sad news that his father has passed away on social media today. Byron posted to Twitter that his father was a Marine Corps Master Sergeant, Loving husband, and Byron’s Hero.

TWM extends its condolences to Bryons family at the time.

AEW AND TNT TEASE ‘BIG NEWS’

TNT has set up a new Twitter account dedicated to AEW. So far all the account has done in promote an upcoming mystery announcement.

The account’s bio simply states:

“we back in the wrestling biz. buckle up.”

The account has also employed the Young Bucks to promote the mystery announcement. The pair promote both the new account and, what is expected to be the announcement of the day on which the AEW TV show will air.

ICW ANNOUNCE KUSHIDA FOR SHUGS HOOSE PARTY 6

Insane Championship Wrestling has announced that WWE’s new signing KUSHIDA will be making an appearance at Shug’s Hoose Party 6 this weekend. The NXT superstar will be facing Jackie Polo at the event set to take place at the O2 Academy Glasgow, replacing Jeff Jarrett who cannot appear due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

PROGRESS ANNOUNCE NXT UK TAG CHAMPIONS CHALLENGING FOR TAG TEAM TITLES AT CHAPTER 93

Grizzled Young Veterans cut a promo promising to improve the Progress tag division by removing Aussie Open as champions and becoming three-time champions themselves. The pair are the current NXT UK Champions, Drake and Gibson were former PROGRESS Tag Champions, before losing the belts to CCK on the companies 2018 US tour.

The pair formed the tag team in 2017 while working for Progress.

WWE RELEASES TWO WRITERS

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE has recently released two writers from the creative team. The co-lead writer for SmackDown, Steve Guerreri, and the in-office lead writer for RAW were both fired last week.

Apparently, neither firing had anything to do with either Paul Heyman or Eric Bischoff, even though both men have either started or are about to.
