KAREN Q BREAKS LEG ON NXT HOUSE SHOW

It appears that Karen Q has unfortunately broken her leg during a match on an NXT House Show.

Karen was teaming with Bianca Belair, facing Rhea Ripley and Reina Gonzalez when the ref showed the ‘X’ to the back.

The match ended very soon after with Belair getting the victory. On her Instagram, she confirmed the leg break, thanked her fans, and promised to return.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to finish the #NXTRoadTrip. I’m so proud of the matches I had this weekend and I’m grateful to have the best family, friends and coworkers! My leg is broken, but I’ll be back! Thanks to all who have reached out and showed me love! #HoldMyDrinkIllBeBack

FINN BALOR REPLACED AT SMACKVILLE

Finn Balor was replaced at the last minute during last night’s Smackville. This meant that the planned Intercontinental title match between Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura also didn’t happen.

WWE announced the change shortly before the start of the event saying:

Nakamura instead defended his title against Ali. The Man from Japan retained his title, avoiding the 054 at the end of the match, and settling it with the Kinshasa to pick up the 1,2,3.

The reason given for Balor’s absence is a 24-hour viral bug. The Irishman is still scheduled to face Dolph Ziggler on Tuesday night’s SmackDown.

WWE SMACKVILLE RESULTS

  • Shinsuke Nakamura def. Ali to retain Intercontinental Championship
  • Kevin Owens defeated Elias
  • Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler and Samoa Joe to retain WWE Championship
