KYLE O’REILLY NOT APPEARING AT EVOLVE

EVOLVE announced via Twitter today that O’Reilly won’t be able to perform at EVOLVE 129 and 130. He was scheduled to team with Roderick Strong against JD Drake & Anthony Henry at EVOLVE 129 in Queens, New York this Saturday and O’Reilly vs. Josh Briggs for EVOLVE 130 in Brooklyn on Sunday.

Kyle O’Reilly did tweet on June 14 that he wasn’t going to be able to appear at NXT UK’s tapings at Download Festival because his back was still hurt from the Tag Team title ladder match at NXT TakeOver XXV.

STOMPING GROUNDS LOW ATTENDANCE UPDATE

Much was made about the low attendance at last night’s Stomping grounds event in Tacoma, with half the arena curtained off and reports of tickets being given away in local malls circulating across social media.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the paid attendance for Stomping Grounds was around 4,000 – 4,500 fans. DEFY Wrestling’s Matt Farmer tweeted that there were around 6,000 fans in attendance, which would be one of the smallest WWE pay-per-view crowds in a long time. Farmer also noted that there were “tons” of comped tickets with a lot of 2 for 1 ticket deals.

The Tacoma Dome can hold around 18,000 fans after production.

TWO MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR TONIGHT’S RAW

In case you missed it, two matches have already been announced for tonight’s RAW.

After their interaction at Stomping Grounds, New United States Champion Ricochet will take on AJ Styles in a non-title match.

We also will see Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre face Roman Reigns in a two-on-one handicap match, after Reigns saw off McIntyre last night in Tacoma.

NATIONAL OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH MADE FOR MLW KINGS OF COLOSSEUM

MLW announced today that Alexander Hammerstone will defend his National title against Davey Boy Smith Jr. at their ‘Kings of Colosseum’ tapings in Cicero, Illinois at the Cicero Stadium on Saturday, July 6.

This is an continuation of the faction fued between Hammerstone’s team of himself ,MJF and Richard Holliday known as ‘The Dynasty’ against Davey’s team comprising of himself, Teddy Hart and Brian Pillman Jr, known as ‘The Hart Foundation’.
