NWA CHAMPION NICK ALDIS CRASHES ROH SATURDAY NIGHT AT CENTER STAGE

Nick Aldis made his return to ROH for the first time in almost six months, surprising fans and wiping out Marty Scurrl in the process.

Nick Aldis made a surprise appearence at Saturday Night at Center Stage, an event put on by ROH. Appearing through the crowd at the end of the show, Aldis slid into the ring before attacking Marty Scurrl, furthering their conflict once again.

Scurrl and Aldis have been going back and forth for a while now, many cite the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title match as the start of the pairs animosity, the match took place in April 2019 at the Crockett Cup. Scurrl showed up at the end of the NWA’s debut pay per view, ‘In To The Fire’, and it seems Aldis was returning the favour.

The NWA tweeted footage of the incident, promising that Nick would address it on this Tuesday’s episode of NWA Powerrr.

ROH and the NWA did have a working relationship until mid last year, putting on a number of join events. Nick Aldis wrestled on four different joint ROH cards including the Crockett Cup. The reason the relationship ended, was the NWA gearing up for the launch of Powerrr, which has been a massive success so far.

Bret Hart has said that Sakurada was one of Stu Hart’s most trusted foremen and reliable workers in the heyday of Stampede Wrestling, high praise for a man who will be undoubtably missed.
