NJPW King Of Pro Wrestling 2017 Results

Find out what went down as the two guys heading for WrestleKingdom faced their final hurdle at NJPW King Of Pro Wrestling 2017.

THE FINAL ROADBLOCK BEFORE WRESTLEKINGDOM 12 HAS BEEN AND GONE, AND WE HAVE OUR MAIN EVENT FOR THE TOKYO DOME.

Kazuchika Okada will be facing Tetsuya Naito in January after Okada retained his IWGP Heavyweight Title against his final mandatory challenger before WrestleKingdom 12 in the form of EVIL, and Naito edged out a win against Tomohiro Iishi to keep his Tokyo Dome IWGP Heavyweight Championship challenge rights briefcase.

We do however have a new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion in the form of Will Ospreay, who finally beat KUSHIDA for the first time ever in his career. We also have new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions as Rocky Romero‘s new team of Roppongi 3K (Sho Tanaka and Yohei Komatsu) beat Ricochet and Ryusuke Taguchi.

Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer retained their IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles, as they defeated the Guerrillas of Destiny and War Machine in a three way elimination match.

In non-title tag action, Juice Robinson and Kota Ibushi defeated the team of Hiroshi Tanahashi and Togi Makabe, Hirooki Goto and Toru Yano defeated Minoru Suzuki and Zack Sabre Jr and in six-man tag team action, Cody, Kenny Omega and Marty Scurll defeated Beretta, Jado and YOSHI-HASHI.

Finally, in another six-man tag to open the show BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi and SANADA defeated Bad Luck Fale, Leo Tonga and Yujiro Takahashi.
