NXT Tag Team Championship
The future of WWE‘s tag team division begins with the NXT Tag Team Championship. Established on February 13, 2013, the NXT Tag Team Titles represent the pinnacle of competition for NXT’s young tandems. Little surprise then that former champions like The Wyatt Family later positioned themselves as powerhouses in WWE.
The championship was introduced on January 23, 2013, where it was announced on NXT by special guest Shawn Michaels that there would be a tournament to crown the inaugural champions. The British Ambition (Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey) defeated The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) in the finals to become the inaugural champions.
