NXT held their showcase over WrestleMania weekend  as they took over New Orleans with scores settled, titles changing hands and inaugural champions crowned.

In front of a rabid Smoothie King Center, the almost year-long rivalry between former #DIY teammates turned bitter rivals ended as Johnny Gargano won his job back in NXT, forcing Tomasso Ciampa to submit. Many thought Gargano was going to weaken at his fallen former teammate, but as Ciampa tried to betray him one more time, Gargano ducked and locked in a brutal knee-brace assisted STF to get the win and his spot back in NXT.

Aleister Black captured the NXT Championship, beating Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas. In a match that saw Black kick out of Almas’ hammerlock DDT, ducking an crossbody from Zelina Vega then hitting Black Mass on a Vega-cradling Almas to win the gold.

Adam Cole became the first inaugural NXT North American Champion by coming out on top in an insane six-way ladder match, besting Ricochet, Killian Dain, Lars Sullivan, Velveteen Dream and EC3.

It was a banner night for Undisputed Era as they retained the NXT Tag Team Titles and gained a fourth member as Roderick Strong turned on his partner Pete Dunne, stomping on his head  and hitting End Of Heartache when he had the gold won, enabling Kyle O’Reilly  and Adam Cole to get the win against them and The Authors Of Pain.

Finally, we crowned a new NXT Women’s Champion as Shanya Baszler captured the gold when she forced the stoppage against Ember Moon after locking in her brutal Kirifuda Clutch.
