FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TWENTY YEARS, WE SAW WAR GAMES ON A MAJOR PAY-PER-VIEW EVENT AS NXT TOOK OVER HOUSTON.
In an unbelievable War Games match, The Undisputed Era trio of Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish beat the SaNiTY team of Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain and the squad of Roderick Strong and The Authors Of Pain, with a shining wizard into a chair into Young.
We had a huge shock as Andrade Cien Almas won the NXT Championship, beating Drew McIntyre with a spike Hammerlock DDT and an assist from his manager Zelena Vega.
We also found out who will take the throne in the NXT womens division as Ember Moon beat Nikki Cross, Peyton Royce and Kairi Sane to capture the NXT Womens Championship.
We also had Aleister Black beat Velveteen Dream in a fantastic match, which had mind games, stiff strikes and some unique gear, all which lead to Black finally saying his name.
Finally, Lars Sullivan beat Kassius Ohno with his ‘Freak Accident’ finishing maneuver to open the show.
