PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 67 ‘Bourbon Is Also A Biscuit’ Results

Find out what happened at PROGRESS second non-UK main chapter event; Chapter 67 – ‘Bourbon Is Also A Biscuit’.

PROGRESS rounded off their two days in New Orleans with their second-ever non UK Chapter Show, filled with title matches and a dream six man tag.

Jeff Cobb came up short when cashing in his title show earned by winning yesterday’s Thunderbastard, losing to PROGRESS World Champion Travis Banks via the Kiwi Crusher.

Banks has his next challenger set as PROGRESS Atlas Champion WALTER won his number one contenders match against Zack Sabre Jr, forcing Zack to submit to a rear naked choke.

Rickey Shane Page and Ethan Page (who discovered they were brothers, Paige is their sister and Diamond Dallas Page is their uncle via NOLA athletic commission blood testing) answered the open challenge against the PROGRESS World Tag Team Champions Zack Gibson and James Drake. Sadly, they could not wrestle the gold away from the Grizzled Young Vets due to a distraction from Eddie Dennis that led to Ethan being hit with the Ticket to Mayhem. Dennis then, once again, placed the blame on Mark Andrews, saying that turned down being RSP’s partner, choosing to work for WWE instead. When Ricky chose to defend Mark, Eddie attacked him only for Ethan Page to make the save.

Our third title match also went the way of the champion, as PROGRESS Women’s Champion Toni Storm beat Mercedes Martinez via submission with an armbar.

In a dream six man tag team match, Vicky Haskins‘ squad of Mark Haskins, Jimmy Havoc and Flash Morgan Webster beat Keith Lee, David Starr and EVOLVE Champion Matt Riddle when Havoc and Haskins dropped Starr with their Rainmaker/high kick combination.

In mixed tag team action, WWN Champion Austin Theory and Jinny beat the team of Will Ospreay and Kay Lee Ray, when Jinny hit KLR with a high angle facebuster. This match also had voodoo dolls involved – make of that what you will.

Finally, Chris Brookes beat Rey Horus in the opening contest via submission with the octopus stretch.
