RUBY RIOTT UNDERGOES SURGERY

Ruby Riott has undergone her second shoulder surgery of the year, to repair a bilateral injury.

Riott had surgery on her right shoulder in May for the same reason. Riott posted a picture on her social media accounts on Tuesday and captioned it with: “Round 2… Fight!”

ROMAN REIGNS FEATURED ON FOX GRAPHICS AT PRESS TOUR

At the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour on Wednesday, an image on social media showed WWE superstar Roman Reigns prominently featured Roman Reigns in the centre, with football and baseball players in the background.

This shows that FOX is treating its new partnership with WWE like a big deal. As previously reported, FOX Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier discussed WWE at the event, and noted that FOX is committed to WWE for five years regardless of the ratings, saying The Wrap;

[We are] a company that historically really leaned into NFL at a time where I think no one thought FOX could do so, and they’ve turned out to become the leading purveyor of the NFL and we’re leaning into WWE with just as much enthusiasm.”

AEW ANNOUNCES WOMEN’S CASINO BATTLE ROYALE

AEW have announced a women’s Casino Battle Royale will take place on the All Out pre-show where The winner will become the first contender for the inaugural AEW Women’s Championship.

The contest was announced on the latest episode of ‘The Road to All Out’.

This match will also see the debut of Rowdy Roddy Piper’s daughter Teal Piper. In addition, former Lucha Underground stat Ivelisse, and ECW veteran Jazz have been announced.

NWA ANNOUNCES TELEVISION TAPINGS

The National Wrestling Alliance announced that they will be holding television tapings this fall. In a video posted yesterday, NWA President Billy Corgan talking about studio tapings from the 1970s and 1980s, leading to an announcement about the NWA starting their own television tapings. The video then announced that tapings would be held in Atlanta, Georgia on September 30 and October 1.

The NWA has recently ended their relationship with Ring of Honor.

NJPW ANNOUNCE FOUR MORE FOR SUPER J-CUP

The next four entrants have been announced for the 2019 Super J-Cup.

NJPW’s Rocky Romero, NJPW L.A Dojo Young Lion Clark Connors, Ring of Honor’s Jonathan Gresham, and CMLL star Soberano Jr.

We have three spots remaining, with TJP, Dragon Lee, SHO, Caristico, Ryusuke Taguchi, Taiji Ishimori, YOH, BUSHI, and Amazing Red all announced.

FINAL TWO PARTICIPANTS ANNOUNCED FOR BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES 2019

The final two spots for this years PWG Battle of Los Angeles have been filled.

All Elite Wrestling’s Pentagon Jr. and Big Japan Pro Wrestling’s Daisuke Sekimoto are the two to fill up that list.

Pentagon made his PWG in BOLA 2015 and was also an entrant in the tournament in 2016 and 2017. He is also a former PWG Tag Team Champion, alongside his brother and fellow entrant Fenix.

Sekimoto is making his Pro Wrestling Guerrilla debut.
