SETH ROLLINS COMMENTS ON BECKY LYNCH’S PREGNANCY

Late yesterday Seth Rollins commented on expecting his and Becky Lynch’s first child. This was the first time he’d spoken about the happy news since Becky’s reveal on Monday’s RAW.

Seth shared a picture of Becky holding up a positive pregnancy test with the following caption:

I took this a few moments after we got the best news of our lives and I don’t think could’ve captured anything more beautiful. I can’t put into words how much it means to me. Thank you all for your support over the last couple of days. December can’t come soon enough!

205 LIVE SET TO RETURN TO IN-RING ACTION

Mike Johnson of PWInsider was first to report that 205 Live is set to return in-ring tonight. WWE recorded two episodes of 205 Live during their recent taping session. The episodes were both 30 minutes in length. This has since been confirmed, with WWE advertising Tony Nese vs. Jack Gallagher.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, new 205 Live matches haven’t been shown or recorded. WWE prefered to focus on their main three shows instead. However, the company hasn’t completely neglected the 205 Live roster. WWE has produced specials on different stars, titled The Matches That Made Me, The Brian Kendrick, The Singh Brothers, Ariya Daivari, and Oney Lorcan have all featured.

SCORPIO SKY AND KIP SABIAN ADDED TO CASINO LADDER MATCH

Scorpio Sky and Kip Sabian have been announced as the fifth and sixth entrants into AEW’s casino ladder match booker for Double or Nothing.

Scorpio Sky and Sabian join Darby Allin, Colt Cabana, Orange Cassidy, and Rey Fenix in the match. The winner will be awarded a shot at the AEW World Championship. The rules were announced on last night’s episode of Dynamite. Two competitors will start the match with another wrestler added every 90 seconds. From the moment the match starts, it’s possible to win.

GABLE STEVESON TWEETS THAT HE WILL RULE WWE

Gable Steveson, one of the most promising collegiate wrestlers in America, tweeted bluntly about his WWE ambitions according to Fightful. He promptly deleted the message, which read along the lines that “he would rule the WWE world”. Gable is a member of the University of Minnesota wrestling program and was the second seed in the NCAA Championships before they were cancelled.

Steveson has spoken before about wanting to go into professional wrestling. He has spent time training with former Minnesota wrestling star, Brock Lesnar, and lists the Rock as someone he aspires to.

LIO RUSH AND JIMMY HAVOC BOTH FILE FOR TRADEMARKS

According to the US Patent and Trademark Office, both Jimmy Havoc and Lio Rush have both filed to trademark their wrestling names.

Rush left the WWE in April. Although he is currently subject to a do-not-compete clause he had suggested that he may not wrestle again. This is made more interesting by the filing, although he may just be safeguarding the name for future possible use.

Jimmy currently works for both AEW and MLW.

INSIDE THE ROPES POSTPONES OWENS SHOW

Inside the Ropes has been forces to postpone their upcoming show with Kevin Ownes.

The show was originally booked for June 5, but with the current COVID-19 pandemic it wasn’t possible. In the press release announcing the postponement, the ITR team say that they held off as long as they could, looking for different ways with which the event could run. Unfortunately, this wasn’t to be.

Inside the Ropes have stated that the new plan is to run the show in the wintertime, possibly aligned with WWE’s annual winter tour.

AEW TURN MAKE A PROFIT IN APRIL

According to the Wrestling Observer, AEW managed to make a “very small” profit last month.

Apparently, improved online merch sales, TNT’s TV money, and vastly reduced operating costs lead to the promotion managing to stay in the black. The Observer says that the single biggest factor was the reduced operating costs, with the whole month’s TV shows shot in just two days.

WWE POSSIBLY TO ALLOW TRAINING AT THE PERFORMANCE CENTER SOON

Florida Governor, Rob DeSantis, announced this morning that as of Monday, gyms will be allowed to reopen. This will obviously include WWE’s Performance Center.

Although gyms weren’t originally included in the governor’s reopening plan, called ‘phase one’. According to an ABC affiliate, DeSantis terms this now as a “Full Phase One”.

The reopening of the Performance Center will come as good news to many injured WWE athletes, who use the facilities to rehab and receive treatment. Other WWE stars will undoubtedly make use of the gym, being able to use proper equipment will come as a welcome relief.

REY MYSTERIO REPORTEDLY HASN’T YET RE-SIGNED WITH WWE

According to Dave Meltzer, Rey Mysterio’s current contract is rapidly coming to its end.

Rey Mysterio returned to WWE at the 2018 Royal Rumble. Since then he’s featured in many high profile storylines, including working with Brock Lesnar and winning the United States Championship twice in 2019. For all this, apparently he hasn’t re-signed with the company yet. Although Rey is 45, he has shown no signs of slowing up.
