MONEY IN THE BANK NOT TAKING PLACE IN BALTIMORE

As many expected, this years Money in The Bank pay-per-view will not be taking place in Baltimore.

The Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland confirmed that due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they won’t be hosting Money in the Bank.

In a statement made on their website, they said;

“The WWE Money in the Bank event originally scheduled for Sunday, May 10 in Baltimore has been cancelled. Refunds are available at all points of purchase.”

WWE is set to resume closed set television tapings at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida today.

TWO MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR 205 LIVE

WWE have announced two matches for tonight’s episode of 205 Live.

Ahead of the NXT Cruiserweight Championship tournament, Oney Lorcan will take on Jack Gallagher and Tony Nese will face Danny Burch.

The interim title was announced by William Regal during an appearance on WWE’s The Bump earlier this week.

WWE WANTED HULK HOGAN AT WRESTLEMANIA

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Hulk Hogan almost appeared at WrestleMania 36.

WWE officials did want The Hulkster to appear but the two sides could not agree financially on a deal. This would have been for an appearance, not a match.

Hogan was set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for the second time during WrestleMania 36 Weekend, along with nWo members Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Sean Waltman. 

WWE ADJOURN ANNUAL MEETING

Due to COVID-19, WWE has announced that they plan to convene and then immediately adjourn their Annual Stockholders Meeting.

The meeting is scheduled for 10AM ET/3PM GMT on Thursday, April 16th. The meeting will be convened and then immediately adjourned to a time and place that will be announced.

STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) today announced that it intends to convene and then immediately adjourn, its Annual Meeting of Stockholders due to the rapidly evolving public health concerns relating to the COVID-19 pandemic and governmental actions related thereto, including the State of Connecticut’s Executive Order No. 7H dated March 20, 2020. The Annual Meeting is scheduled to occur at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Thursday April 16, 2020. The Annual Meeting will be convened and then immediately adjourned to a time and place that will be announced at the meeting and by press release. The record date will remain February 20, 2020. Stockholders should comply with applicable restrictions and not attend the Annual Meeting on April 16.

WWE announced that they will report their 1st quarter 2020 financial results on Thursday, April 23rd.
