DEAN AMBROSE BIDS FAREWELL TO RAW

In a dark segment in this week’s RAW Dean Ambrose said his farewell to the WWE audience. Called to the ring the lunatic fringe thanked the fans and said all their (his, Roman’s and Seth’s) success stemmed from the support they received from the fans. In an emotional goodbye, the three shield members posed together one more time, before leaving to the now-defunct Shield music.

SASHA BANKS PULLS OUT OF TV APPEARANCE, POSTS CRYPTIC MESSAGE

Sasha Banks cancelled her scheduled appearance on The Wendy Williams Show today. Banks took to Twitter to explain her no-show. 

During RAW, where her tag partner Bayley lost to Alexa Bliss, Banks also posted this tweet, which concerned a number of her fans.

Sasha Banks and Bayley lost their WWE Women’s Tag Team Title’s at WrestleMania 35 in a fatal four way match to The Iiconics.

 

USO’S VS HARDYS ANNOUNCED FOR SMACKDOWN LIVE

The two sets of brothers will face off for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles on tonight episode of SmackDown Live.

The Uso’s successfully defend their belts in a four way match against Ruse and Shinsuke Nakamura, The Bar, Ricochet and Aleister Black wheras The Hardy Boys were unsuccessful in their attempt to win the Andre The Gaint Memorial Battle Royal.

This will be the first time the teams have faced each other.

 

BUCKS – LUCHA BROS AAA TAG TITLE MATCH CONFIRMED

Earlier today on Twitter, The Young Bucks confirmed that they will be defending the AAA Tag Team Titles against Pentagon Jr and Fenix at AEW Double Or Nothing in May.

These two teams have been at war ever since The Lucha Brothers attacked The Bucks during the Double or Nothing press conference in Las Vegas. The Young Bucks then surprised the Mexican duo at a AAA event, taking the tag belts from Pentagon Jr. and Fenix.

 

NEW AEW SIGNING REVEALED

All Elite Wrestling announced a new signing for their roster in the form of Japanese Joshi superstar Hikaru Shida. The 30-year old has wrestled across several Japanese womens promotions and appeared in SHIMMER over the last twelve months.

 

WRESTLEMANIA 37 LOCATION REVEALED?

With WrestleMania 36 now confirmed for Tampa, Florida next year; many are speculating where WrestleMania will be in 2021.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the new under-construction football stadium  in Inglewood, CA is the front-runner to host WrestleMania 37.  The stadium,under the working name of Los Angeles Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park (LASED), is scheduled to open in 2020 as the home for both the L.A Rams and L.A Chargers NFL teams.

It is believed that that city and stadium officials want to use the event as a test run for hosting Super Bowl LVI in 2022.

Kathy Schloessman, president of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission spoke about this, saying;

“We know the power of the WWE brand. They have hosted several events here in the past such as SummerSlamSurvivor SeriesRaw and SmackDown and we have seen the tremendous impact these events have in the community, both economically and socially. Given our focus on attracting major sporting and entertainment events to Los Angeles, WrestleMania is at the top of our list of events we want here.”

 

WWE NETWORK ANNOUNCE DATES FOR WORLDS COLLIDE SHOWS

WWE has announced broadcast details for the four Worlds Collide specials that were taped at WrestleMania Axxess.

  • NXT vs. NXT Alumni – Sunday, April 14 at 8/7 C (Monday, April 15th 12am GMT)
  • Cruiserweights Collide – Wednesday, April 17 at 9/8 C (Thursday, April 18th 1am GMT)
  • Women Collide – Wednesday, April 24 at 9/8 C/ (Thursday, April 25th 1am GMT)
  • Brands Collide – Wednesday, May 1 at 9/8 C/ (Thursday, May 2nd 1am GMT)

SEVERAL PROMOTIONS HEADING TO CANADA THIS SUMMER

Some of the worlds biggest independent promotions are heading to Toronto, Canada in August this year.

PROGRESS and wXw are joining forces with Smash Wrestling and Magen Boys Entertainment for four nights from the 7th of August.

 

MARTINA ANNOUNCED FOR TOURNAMENT OF DEATH

No. We’re not making this up.

After a petition from fans on Twitter, Session Moth Martina has been announced for this years Tournament of Death.

Combat Zone Wrestling’s annual deathmatch tournament, currently in it’s 16th year, has had a British winner in recent times with Jimmy Havoc capturing the trophy in 2017.
