NIA CALLS OUT WWE

Nia Jax has called the company out for failing to include any women of color in a 2018 recap Tweet. In the Tweet, the WWE posted pictures of Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, The IIconics and Carmella, along with the caption “There’s no denying it. The women of @WWE BROUGHT IT in 2018!”. With the female roster as diverse as it’s ever been, Jax called out the lack of diversity with a simple tweet “#WeHereToo”.

 

BOOKER T ANNOUNCES IN-RING RETURN

Booker T has announced that he’ll be returning to the ring next month for his own promotion, Reality of Wrestling. Coming to the ring during last night’s ROW Christmas Chaos 8 show, Booker accepted the challenge of current champion Rex Andrews for a one on one match. The match is set for The Last Stand, January 12th at the Booker T. World Gym Arena, tickets go on sale soon.

 

SETH UPDATES US ON ROMAN’S HEALTH

Seth appeared on FOX 2’s show, The Nine, earlier this week, to speak about his life in wrestling and the business in general. During the interview, amongst other things, he was asked about the health of fellow Shield member Roman Reigns by a young fan. Seth quickly responded:

“Roman’s doing great, obviously he spent the holidays at home with his family. He’s doing really good, he’s in a good position. He’s primed to make a comeback, hopefully sometime sooner rather than later, but at the end of the day, he’s focused on getting healthy right now. But I will say he’s doing good.”

 

PETE DUNNE AND TYLER BATE HEADING OFF TO NXT?

WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate wrestled eachother at tonight’s PROGRESS ‘Unboxing Live 3’ event, and it was revealed that this is their final PROGRESS event ‘for a while’. Following them announcing their departure from Fight Club and Attack Pro, rumours are circulating that the first two UK Champions could be on the way to the main NXT roster.

GARGANO’S EVOLVE 119 MATCH REVEALED

Johnny Gargano’s second match has been revealed in his two-night return to EVOLVE. Johnny will be teaming with AR Fox to take on Austin Theory and Josh Briggs at EVOLVE 119. Is was already reported that Gargano would be facing Theory one on one in a non-title match at EVOLVE 120.

 

BRAUN ISN’T FINISHED WITH THE GYM

Braun Strowman has finally been allowed to return to the gym following surgery on bone spurs in his elbow. Posting to his Instagram account ‘The Monster Among Men’ posted:

“And so it begins!!!! 8 weeks without training has been killing me. First day back training shoulders. 25lbs at a time. Slow and steady and getting ready to pass these out.”

 

BECKY LYNCH PICKS UP AN AWARD

Becky Lynch was recently named Sports Illustrated’s number on Women’s Wrestler of 2018. The ‘Lass Kicker’ graciously accepted the award by calling the other women on the list “dopes”.
