NIA JAX REACTS TO RUMOURS OF BACKSTAGE HEAT

After murmurings emerged that Nia Jax had heat backstage after legitimately hurting R-Truth during the men’s Royal Rumble match, she took to Twitter to address the situation.

In typical Jax fashion, she couldn’t appear to give two hoots! Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Nia has been accused of being a sloppy worker. Becky Lynch missed survivor series last year after taking a Jax punch to the face, and that is just the most recent example. Jerry Lawler has said on his podcast that Truth was upset after the events of Sunday night and that several people had to calm him down.

ADAM COLE IS OUTRAGED

With the return of Halftime Heat during this year’s Superbowl, Adam Cole has been speaking to TMZ Sports. Adam Cole spoke about how he feels that fans tune into the Superbowl for excitement, he feels that he will do a better job at providing it than Maroon 5 (who are booked for the official halftime show).  When asked what fans could expect during the show, Cole said that the match will be a wild ride, he went on to say that he feels that it’s an outrage that he isn’t champion.

“I’m a guy that thinks I should be champion in NXT,  I think it’s an outrage that I’m not.”

He named Velveteen Dream, Aleister Black, and Ricochet as being pretenders to the number one contender spot. Cole closed by saying that during halftime heat he plans to show everyone why he should be at the front of the line.

NJPW NOT HAPPY WITH AEW

Dave Meltzer has alluded to the pressure AEW signing Trent Baretta has placed on the AEW NJPW relationship. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave said that from NJPW’s point of view, AEW has signed Kenny Omega and now Trent Baretta. Although it isn’t official, if it is happening, you’d imagine NJPW management would know all about it.

“We talked about how negative New Japan is on the Baretta thing. It was breaking in the middle of our show. Yeah, it is a significant part of this AEW/New Japan getting together. From the New Japan standpoint they took a… it was one thing you know… You gotta look at it from two sides on this thing.”

WILL OSPREAY REMOVES SOCIAL MEDIA

British wrestler Will Ospreay recently deleted his twitter account, amidst fan backlash regarding his recent spat with fellow Brit in Japan, Sadie Gibbs.

Ospreay tweeted some very shady comments about two female wrestlers not pulling their weight in Japan, which lead to Sadie fighting her case. Ospreay then publically called her out for being unprofessional on her excursion, leading to a lot of negative feedback.
