WWE SUPERSTAR M.I.A

It was reported last week that Lars Sullivan was to compete in a match on RAW, supposedly Lars either left before his match or never showed up in the first place. The reason given for the NXT call up’s absence was an anxiety attack. Lars was meant to have met with WWE management to address his concerns and his match was moved to the following SmackDown. Lars missed the event again and was reported to have flown home. Prior to the two shows, Lars was rumored to be in line for a WrestleMania match with John Cena, if the stories are to be believed, the match may be in jeopardy.

REVPRO AND FREESPORTS PART WAYS?

In a frank exchange during a Twitter Q&A, it looks like RevPro will not be renewing their deal with FreeSports. Asked by a fan if they were going to be returning to the channel, RevPro replies that they’ve had no discussions regarding the matter. FreeSports have shown pro wrestling content in the past, airing 5 Star Wrestling before their collapse. Following the unfortunate situation, FreeSports moved quickly, striking a deal with RevPro towards the end of last summer.

WOS RUMOUR KILLER

WOS is returning to our screens this weekend, but it isn’t for their anticipated second season. The revived British wrestling promotion Tweeted earlier today that WOS would be returning to our screens this weekend. The reason for the repeat is to promote the start of the WOS UK Tour, starting this Friday at the Southampton O2 Guildhall.

WWE TO LEAVE DISNEY

A new streaming company, ‘Endeavor Streaming’ has announced that they have signed a deal to deliver the WWE Network service. When the WWE network launched in 2014, WWE used BAMTech (now called Disney Streaming Services) to deliver its online content, and they have used the company since. However, the Disney deal expired at the end of 2018 and WWE apparently decided to move in a new direction.

Endeavor bought streaming provider NeuLion in March 2018 for $250 million. Endeavor have names such as the UFC, NFL, and NBA as clients. Vince McMahon said of the company in a statement:

“Endeavor Streaming’s best-in-class technology enables us to offer more features, elevate the user experience and provides us even more opportunity to delight our fans around the world,”
