BRAUN STROWMAN INJURY UPDATE

Dave Meltzer has commented on the health of WWE superstar Braun Strowman. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave said that Braun was currently working injured. He went on to stress that working injured wasn’t the reason Strowman was pulled from Money In The Bank. Braun lost his match to Sami Zane this last Monday, the stipulation was that Braun’s place in the MITB ladder match was on the line.

Meltzer pointed out Braun’s arm and the placement of a support during his match. This could be a concern as Braun only underwent elbow surgery this past November. At the time the Wrestling Observer reported that Braun was suffering from bone spurs in his elbow, while WWE pushed the narrative that he was having a shattered elbow repaired.

FORMER WWF REFEREE SIGNS WITH AEW

In another big move, AEW has signed veteran referee Earl Hebner. Earl is best known for his work in WWE, even playing a pivotal role in the Montreal Screwjob in 1997. Earl also worked for Impact Wrestling between 2006 and 2017. Earl has recently been working the independent circuit, including last year’s ALL IN.

AEW also announced the signings of Aubrey Edwards and Paul Turner on their Twitter account.

LARS SULLIVAN APOLOGISES TO WWE ROSTER

Tweeting today, Titus O’Neil revealed that Lars Sullivan has reached out to himself and several other WWE superstars to apologise. Lars is, of course, apologising for numerous comments he had made on different social media platforms in the past. WWE announced yesterday that it had fined Sullivan $100,000 and was committing Sullivan to sensitivity training. Whether the apology was part of the training and mandated by WWE or a personal move by Lars is unclear. The move seems to have gone down well with O’Neil though, with him tweeting praise for Sullivan and the gesture.
