TV TITLE MATCH ANNOUNCED FOR ROH PAY PER VIEW

Kevin Eck has announced that Bandido will challenge for the ROH World Television Title at Best in the World. Kevin made the announcement through his ‘Eck’s Files’ news blog. In the blog, he explains that Bandido earned the shot when he pinned current champion, Shane Taylor.

As seen on this past weekend’s episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling,” Bandido pinned Shane Taylor in a match taped prior to Taylor winning the ROH World Television Title in a Four Corner Survival Match at War of the Worlds in Toronto on May 9. As a result, Bandido will challenge for the ROH World Television Title against Taylor (or whoever is the champion) at the Best in the World pay-per-view on June 28 in Baltimore.

MICHAEL ELGIN SPEAKS FRANKLY ABOUT GOALS IN IMPACT WRESTLING

Speaking at a recent Impact media press event Michael opened up about his goals while working at Impact.

“My goal is to remain champion and put on matches that the world wants to see. I’ve worked over half my life at this and I think I’ve always taken it seriously but in the past couple of years, I’ve taken it more serious than ever.”

When talking of the quality of the wrestling at Impact Elgin brought up the fact that the last 5-star match was a long time ago. He went on to say that this was something else that he’d like to change.

“I believe the last 5-star match in an Impact ring was Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and Christopher Daniels in a three-way, and that was many years ago. So, I’d say after being champion and retaining that championship, my goal is to get myself on the record books underneath an Impact ring with a 5-star match.”

LANA SPEAKS OUT ON LACK OF OPPORTUNITY FOR HUSBAND RUSEV

WWE Women’s star Lana recently spoke to the Express UK regarding her husband’s position in the company. Speaking out she claimed that Rusev deserves more title shots for a number of reasons:

“I mean, Rusev should get more title opportunities. He should be champion, that’s just the bottom line. He’s been there six years and he’s had one title opportunity, I had three. I’m not the Super Athlete, my first Singles Match was for the title. There’s no question if Rusev should be champion. That’s just a given, it’s true, we all know that he’s the best and #1.”

Rusev himself spoke with the Express UK recently, echoing Lana’s words and saying 99.9% of the roster feel overlooked by management.

“It’s not just us, 99.9 per cent of the roster feels overlooked because we’re all so good and we’re all so passionate. Everybody wants to be a champion and everybody can be a champion because we’re that good.”
