ANGELICO & JACK EVANS SIGNS TO AEW

In a moving video posted to his Twitter feed, South African wrestler Angelico and American indy legend Jack Evans revealed that they has signed to AEW.

The video starts with Angelico seemingly questioning his future. He talks about his career and his move to Europe. He says that his aim was to make a name for himself in all the biggest wrestling promotions across the continent. After seemingly briefly flirting with the idea of retirement, he speaks to his tag partner Jack Evans, and then is finally shown signing a contract before the AEW graphic is shown.

MAURO RANALLO SIGNS NEW WWE CONTRACT

PWInsider has reported that Mauro Ranallo has signed a new deal to keep him with the WWE. Ranallo has been lead announcer since joining the brand in 2017. Mike Johnson broke the news and also reported that Ranallo will be allowed to continue to work combat sports event outside of WWE.

AEW-TURNER DEAL TO BE ANNOUNCED

TheWrap has reported that a deal between AEW and Turner media is all but signed. The site claims a source has told them the deal is “virtually done”. The website goes further, saying that Tony Khan and “some of his wrestlers” will be attending a pitch event, attended by those wishing to purchase media time.

The announcement will be made through choice media outlets an hour before the event starts at 10 am in New York.

AWE ANNOUNCE THE SIGNING OF JERRY LYNN

Earlier today AEW announced the signing of veteran Jerry Lynn.

Lynn started wrestling in 1988 in his home state of Minnesota. Before spreading his wings internationally, he competed for both GFW in Texas and had a short run with Smoky Mountain Wrestling in Knoxville. Lynn then spent time wrestling in both Mexico and Japan before signing with WCW. During the rest of his active career, Jerry worked for every major promotion, including WWF/WWE, ECW, Impact/TNA, and ROH. Jerry also collected numerous titles throughout his time competing. Some of his major accomplishments include:

  • AAW Heavyweight Champion
  • ECW World Heavyweight Champion
  • NWA Mid-South Heavyweight Champion
  • ROH World Champion
  • TNA/NWA World Tag Team Champion
  • WWF Light Heavyweight Champion
