This weeks showcase of the cruiserweights brings us a pair of tag team extravaganzas!
Ever-Rise (Chase Parker & Matt Martel) defeated Leon Ruff and Adrian Alanis via pinfall (assisted codebreaker)
Matt Martel overpowered Leon Ruff early on, throwing his opponent around. Both men tagged their partners in and Matt Martel worked over the arm of Adrian Alanis, but then Alanis used his strength advantage to get control himself.
Both teams then had a pretty even, back-and-forth contest which seems weird as one team is an up-and-coming duo from NXT and the others are enhancement talent from EVOLVE. Ruff and Alanis looked to be in control until the latter walked into a back elbow from Martel. Ever-Rise then hit a double team codebreaker for the win.
Danny Burch, Oney Lorcan, and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott defeated Jack Gallagher, Tehuti Miles, and Tony Nese via pinfall (Confidence Boost)
Jack Gallagher and Danny Burch looked to start proceedings, but Tehuti Miles tagged himself in much to Gallagher’s protests. Miles then ducked and dived out of the way out of a Burch charge, but eventually Danny Burch took over and worked him over. Miles tagged in Tony Nese, but he was immediately hit with a drop toe hold and worked over by the other team.
Nese eventually found Gallagher and got a tag, and that distraction allowed Nese to hang Oney Lorcan’s neck over the ropes and put his team in control. Lorcan was beat down until Tehuti Miles got into a verbal altercation with Jack Gallagher once again. A missed elbow drop later, Oney Lorcan got the hot tag and things started to break down.
All six men hit big moves, but Tehuti Miles annoyed his partners further again by tagging himself in once more. This led to Jack Gallagher to leave with Tony Nese following – and that distracted Miles long enough for Swerve to hit the Confidence Boost for the victory.
