WWE Monday Night Raw Results – April 8th, 2019

Daniel McIver runs through the results for tonights episode of Monday Night RAW.

With potentially one of the best WrestleMania’s of all time the night before, WWE aimed to make it two from two with the most popular nights of the year- the RAW after WrestleMania! Below find all results from the show and the biggest moments that occurred.

OVERALL RESULTS

  • Seth Rollins comes out to celebrate his title win. The New Day interrupts and new WWE Champion Kofi Kingston makes a title for title match in the main event.
  • Hawkins and Ryder retain the RAW Tag Team Titles against The Revival.
  • Baron Corbin comes out to gloat about defeating Kurt Angle in his final WrestleMania match. Angle comes out and hits Corbin with the Angle Slam and the Ankle Lock before himself being decimated by the debuting Lars Sullivan.
  • Alexa Bliss made her in-ring return by defeating Bayley.
  • Becky Lynch comes out to celebrate her win in the WrestleMania Main Event. Lacey Evans comes out and hit Becky with the ‘Woman’s Right’ before eventually being separated after brawling.
  • Ricochet and Aleister Black defeated Chad Gable and Bobby Roode.
  • Dean Ambrose and Bobby Lashley brawled before their match started. Ambrose put through the announce table and Renee goes to check on him.
  • Finn Balor retained the Intercontinental Championship against the returning Sami Zayn.
  • Zayn cuts a promo after the match discussing why he’s back. He takes issue with fans being ‘critics’ and promises to make sure he holds every fan accountable for their actions moving forward.
  • The Undertaker interrupts Elias and Taker hits him with The Big Boot, Chokeslam and Tombstone Piledriver.
  • Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston battle in the Main Event for both the WWE and Universal Championships. Ends in DQ after The Bar interfere- leads to Kofi and Seth vs The Bar.
  • Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins defeated The Bar in the main event.

Overall, a fantastic night with a sadly disappointing end. Sami Zayn and Undertaker returning, Lars Sullivan debuting, some great in-ring work and furthering of story-lines ahead of the Superstar Shakeup next week. I personally do not understand the decision to, essentially, have a house show tag match as the main event but I hope it doesn’t sour people’s opinion on the show as a whole.
