GOLDBERG WANTS TO END CAREER IN ISRAEL
Appearing on the Total Slam podcast, Goldberg started discussing his retirement.
Goldberg had his first match in 1997, this came following a punishing career playing American Football for the Atlanta Falcons amoungst other teams. Goldberg was signed straight to WCW after being spotted by Sting and Lex Luger. He wrestled reguarly until 2004, when he semi-retired before returning in 2015, and then to WWE in 2016. So far Goldberg has only wrestled six time since his return. During the interview, Bill said the following about his future inside the ring:
“I’m considering my retirement match in Israel. As a matter of fact, my agent and I talked about that a minute ago and that’s a big topic of conversation right now, so its something we’re going to consider.”
With his career in its twilight, it should come as no surprise that Bill is considering a proper retirement, what is more surprising is his choice of venue. WWE hasn’t run a show in Isreal since 1994. They did try to put on a SmackDown show in 2006, but due to the Lebanon war, the idea was scrapped.
