Night two of AEW’s Women’s Tag Team Tournament kicks off with Big Swole drawing former Heart of Shimmer Champion Nicole Savoy, now going by Lil Swole, with the two being announced as being from Swole Island. We then cut to their opponents Leva Bates and Rache Chanel.
Big Swole and Lil’ Swole defeat Leva Bates and Rache Chanel
Lil Swole dominates Chanel early on as she works her right arm, but Chanel scrambles for the ropes and tags Bates in.
Lil Swole manages to get Leva Bates in the crossface, but Peter Avalon gets on the apron to distract the referee and Chanel breaks up the pin with her hairbrush.
This allows Bates and Chanel to gain control, cutting off the tag to Big Swole and stomping Lil Swole in the corner.
But she powers out and hits a suplex to Bates before getting the tag to Big Swole. Lil Swole knocks Chanel off the apron before the Swole Nation residents hit a double team Manoeuvre to the librarian to advance to the semi-finals, facing the Nightmare Sisters next week.
We then go back stage to Ivelisse who is drawn with Diamante. Dasha then gets ready for the next draw but Madeusa takes the microphone off her, announcing that Dasha is in the Deadly Draw.
Dasha is then drawn with former NXT talent Rachel Ellering, with the two preparing for their debut match in AEW.
Ivelisse and Diamante defeat Rachel Ellering and Dasha
Ivelisse controls Dasha early on, but she breaks out and shows her in ring ability with an excellent arm drag and a drop kick, sending Ivelisse into her corner to tag Diamante.
Diamante and Ivellise control Dasha in the corner for a while with quick tags, before Ivelisse locks her in a Lotus Lock, sliding her down into a pinning predicament for two.
Ivelisse looks to take out Dasha with a spinning kick, but Dasha ducks and manages to tag in Ellering, who is competing in her first match since tearing her ACL in July 2019.
Ellering hits a senton for a two before Dasha whips her into Ivelisse in the corner, but Diamante pulls her out of the way.
Diamante hits Ellering with a stunner but can only get a two, but Ivelisse manages to pick up the win with a destroyer.
Ivelisse and Diamante will now face Anna Jay and Tay Conti in the semi-finals next week.
