Batista To Be Inducted In 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame

Dave Batista will be the first inductee into the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame.

Six-time World Champion to be a part of WrestleMania weekend in Florida.

People.com have exclusively revealed that Dave Batista will be the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Many had speculated that ‘The Animal’ would be a part of next years ceremony, and now the former member of Evolutions place in immortality has been confirmed.

Batista spoke about finding out about his induction, saying;

“Vince [McMahon] called me personally to ask me, I was just… I wasn’t surprised, but I was pretty happy. It’s a good feeling, it’s a really great feeling.”

He spoke then about his induction, adding;

“I don’t think it’s sunk in and I was thinking about it because I mean, it seems like a long journey, but it also feels like yesterday when I started my career. And it also feels… because I’m still working so much, it doesn’t feel like an end of a journey.”

Following two years in Ohio Valley Wrestling, Batista made his WWE debut in 2002 as the right hand man of Reverend D-Von. He then made his name as one quarter of Evolution, winning WWE Tag Team gold with Ric Flair in 2003.

He broke away from Evolution, winning the Royal Rumble and subsequently the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21. He won that title another three times, and the WWE Championship two more times.

The 2020 Hall of Fame will take place on Thursday, April 2nd.
