NJPW ADD LEGENDARY TAG TEAM TO FIGHTING SPIRIT UNLEASHED TOUR

In a surprise move, NJPW has announced that veteran tag team, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, would be joining their Fighting Spirit Unleashed tour.

The team of Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton was originally formed in 1983 by Jerry Lawler in Memphis. They soon made their way to Mid-South Wrestling, feuding with the Midnight Express. The team went on to compete for Jim Crockett Promotions, the AWA, WCW and WWE to name a few, although this will mark the pair’s debut for New Japan.

In the same tweet announcing the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, NJPW also announced that Roppongi 3K and Lance Archer would also be joining the tour.

ROH ADD THREE MATCHES TO DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR

ROH has added three matches to their Death Before Dishonor pay per view on the 27th of September. The event will be taking place at Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas.

The first will see Kelly Klein defend her Women of Honor World Championship against Angelina Love. Love managed to score a pin over Klein during this June’s Best in the World event. Although Klein returned the gesture, pinning Love at last weekend’s Global Wars Espectacular, Love wasn’t finished, hitting Klein with a DDT after Mandy Leon sprayed hair spray into Klein’s eyes.

The second match has Jay Lethal facing off against Jonathan Gresham. Gresham and Lethal were working as a team as recently as Global Wars, before losing to Silas Young and Josh Wood. After the match, the team spectacularly exploded, with the pair having to be pulled apart by the officials. Lethal then challenged Gresham to the match as Deth Before Dishonor.

The last match was only just announced and has Silas Young and Vinny Marseglia facing The Bouncers: Beer City Bruiser and Brawler Milonas, in a Bar Room Brawl.
