MISSED ALL THE BIG NEWS IN WRESTLING?

NXT UK UPDATE

In happy news, the expected mandatory, conference call today with NXT UK staff has passed without a huge impact on the brand.

Fears had been high following the departures of both Ligero and Travis Banks relating to the #SpeakingOut movement. There was also the concern regarding the lack of possible taping in the UK with COVID-19 restrictions.

Reports state the call ended up being a reminder of WWE’s policy regarding sexual assault allegations. Triple H lead the call and made it abundantly clear that if concrete evidence was made available, the company would adopt a zero-tolerance approach.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE has confirmed that additionally to Banks and Ligero, they had also released referees Joel Allen and Chris Roberts, while Joe Coffey has been suspended pending an enquiry.
