Who is Roberta Fraggle?
I am known online as Roberta Fraggle. I am an artist, focusing on self-portrait work during the pandemic, a fierce lipsync queen and model. I love drag queens, puppies, glitter and adventures.
When did you get into wrestling?
I don’t really remember a time I wasn’t into wrestling. As a little girl, me and my siblings would watch when we could and practise the moves on each other. However, it wasn’t until my 20’s that I really focused on it properly and started to understand the intricacies more and get into the characters and stories instead of just the physicality of it.
What is it like being a woman who works in wrestling media?
I honestly cannot answer this question in regards to wrestling media, but I find women working within any male-orientated industry is hard. Because unless you are willing to prove yourself time and time again, wasting your own energy and time, a lot of the audience will not respect you.
What is your opinion on the progress female wrestlers have made in the industry?
I think the progress made by women is astounding. The issue though is that the industry is still gatekeeper-ed by men, this means that no matter how hard women push, we are going to still see mostly white, male wrestlers getting the chances and being at the forefront of wrestling.
