WWE has taken issue with the logo as it is a copy of their old ‘In Your House’ logo from the ’90s. The news was broken by Black Label Pro Owner, Mikey Blanton.

The timing of the order is interesting, coming less than 24 hours after Mustafa Ali Tweeted support for the event, and elevated awearness of it. His original post has been deleted and replaced with the message above. Originally he wrote:

Scary times only exist when you feel like you’re on your own. I’ll be donating to cover all of the performers pay for the 1st event. I encourage anyone that is in the position to do so, please donate and allow these incredible artists to perform for you. @FreelanceWres is home.

The shows themselves will be running in empty venues, and will be streamed live. During the steams, Freelance Wrestling is planning to allow fans to support the wrestlers directly, offing an option to donate to them via PayPal.

In what became a very public issue, Marriott International has agreed to drop the $114,000 bill following the cancellation of WrestleMania.

WrestleCon made the announcement yeasterday via their Twitter feed:

5:46pm update. Thanks to Marriott Westshore for agreeing to honor the Force Majeure clause and not holding either our guests or WC responsible for the liquidated damages. The Emergency Declaration by Gov DeSantis to cancel events over the next 30 days was a major factor.

We’d also like to thank the NY Yankees and Steinbrenner Field for agreeing today to return our rental payment, in full, due to circumstances. They are an outstanding organization and if we are able to return to Tampa in the future, they will be our first phone call.

We anxiously await the decision of The Ritz and the Bus company we paid to complete the list of venues and services that we contracted to use in Tampa.

And although they specifically mentioned that the social media campaign led by @IAmJericho had absolutely nothing to do with their decision making process, we appreciate both Chris and our Twitter audience for having our back… now back to issuing refunds…

A number of stars from the Wrestling world tweeted their support for the company after Marriott International declined to honour their refund policy.
