Hot on the heels of a successful Slammiversary for IMPACT Wrestling, it is alleged that former Impact World Champion Tessa Blanchard held the company to ransom by refusing to return their World Championship ahead of the show, according to several sources.
Blanchard, who left the company under a cloud earlier this month, has apparently demanded $150,000 to return the championship belt and make an appearance at last week’s Slammiversary pay per view. This did not come to fruition as new IMPACT World Champion, Eddie Edwards, was crowned with a gold belt instead of a silver one after winning a Fatal 4 Way this past Saturday.
A source close to the situation told TWM that while it was true, the exact amount she demanded is unclear. We will have more on this story as it develops.
