The bound for glory main event was announced on last weeks show, the world class maniac made it clear that he was not too happy with the choice of challenger, So what will the world champion have in store tonight?
Trey def. TJP and Chris Bey
After the opening titles, we jump straight in with X Division action, as the Prince of mid-air Trey Miguel defeated both tip and the former X Division champion, Chris Bey. With the winner getting an immediate opportunity at Rohit Raju and his X division championship. All three men looked like they could all come away with the victory, with TJP being the most dominant. But after a few close calls and after delivering a mean-looking Meteora the Rascal Trey Would pick up the win and go straight into an opportunity to become X division champion.
Rohit Raju def. Trey Miguel – X Division Championship
After Trey Miguel picked up a win in the triple threat match the X division champion made the most of exhaustion shown by the challenger and started the title match immediately. Just as Trey charged at the champion the desi hitman sidestepped the Rascal and rolled him up to retain the championship.
Straight after the match, we head backstage as the world champion Eric Young addresses his opponent for bound for glory Rich Swann, former world champion Eddie Edwards an impact executive vice president Scott D’amore. The world-class maniac makes it very clear that whatever he does next his conscience is clear and it’s all on the shoulders off Scott D’amore.
After returning from ad break we’re outside the locker room of Tenille Dashwood, Where interviewer Gia Miller is trying to get the pre match thoughts and comments from Tenille but instead the door is opened by the personal photographer Kaleb With a K. Tenille then appears to let Jordynne Grace know that she is ready for tonight.
Susie def. Kimber Lee
The Crown jewel appeared to have the number of Susie and set out with the win at all costs mentality. But despite attempting to play mind games with Susie the former knockouts champion made it clear she did not want to play games. A very back and forth match between the two with both knockouts looking like they could pick up the win that was until the knockouts champion Deonna Purrazzo attempted to attack Susie but instead caught her partner and curator Kimber Lee, Leading to Susie picking up her opponent from the top rope and delivering the panic switch for the pinfall and the win.
Immediately after the match as Kylie Rae was attempting to remind Susie that she had won the match. The Knockouts champion Deonna Purrazzo attacks the number one contender Kylie Rae. But as Susie attempts to break it and help her friend, Purrazzo pulls her into the Fujiwara armbar which is swiftly broken up by Kylie Rae who then announces to the champion that she will be making the most of her number one contendership and is challenging Purrazzo for the Knockouts title at Bound for Glory.
We are then treated to another advert from the man with no last name, Heath pleads with Scott D’amore to give him a job and says it’s not just Rhino who thinks he should hire Heath. He then shows cameo clips from David Hasselhoff, Flava Flav and Chuck Norris trying to convince Scott to hire Heath.
Another backstage segment this time between the tag team champions the Motor City Machine Guns, The Good Brothers, and The Rascalz who aren’t happy with the way the good brothers have been disrespecting them by calling them “Young Brothers” so they challenge them to a match next week which the Good Brothers happily accept.
We then head to the hide out of EC3 who seems to want to help Moose get back his TNA World Championship and asks everyone watching to pass all information about the belt straight to Moose, he then appears to put the phone number of Moose on the screen.
We then see Rosemary who is still not happy with Taya because of what happened last week so Taya has a way to make it up to her, next week Taya and Rosemary will team up against the Knockouts who left Rosemary laying last week, Havok and Neveah in tag team action.
Still backstage, this time in the catering area as Gia Miller is trying to get an explanation as to why Brian Myers needed to cheat to beat Willie Mack. Myers doesn’t take to kindly to the accusation of cheating and flips a table, then Tommy Dreamer appears and tells Myers that he’ll be respectful and professional whilst he’s with IMPACT and he tells Myers to clean up the mess. Myers agrees but makes sure Dreamer knows to walk the other way if they ever see each other in the hallways.
Next up Cody Deaner is scheduled to have a match but before he could even make it down the ramp, he and cousin Jake are attacked by the Impact world champion Eric Young who puts a hard beat down on the Deaners. Yelling at the top of his voice trying to get the attention of Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, and Scott D’amore. Eventually, Scott comes out and pleads with EY to stop but it falls on deaf ears. Fortunately, before he could also hurt Scott the former world champion Eddie Edwards makes his return and saves Scott.
After the break, Scott D’amore is trying to calm down but immediately has Eddie Edwards in his face who is demanding his rematch which he will get on October 3 at Victory Road.
RVD def. Sami Callihan
The two started immediately fighting on the outside before the bell had even rung. The stakes of the match were quite high with Katie Forbes getting five minutes in the ring with Callihan should Van Dam secure the victory. RVD does exactly that but simply due to Katie Forbes spraying hair spray into the eyes of Callihan after distracting the referee.
After the match, Forbes gets her five minutes but she is certainly not alone as she and RVD go on the attack, laying in shots to Sami and picking up a chair from under the ring. As Callihan was laying on the mat with a chair on his chest Van Dam and Forbes become a little distracted with each other, ever the opportunist Callihan throws the chair at RVD who is perched on the top rope before delivering a spike pile driver to Katie Forbes.
Ace Austin and Madman Fulton have been giving some interview time and as they brag about picking up a win over Chris Sabin, they are interrupted by the former champions The North. Who still isn’t happy that Austin stole the pinfall in their match vs The Good Brothers and MCMG last week. The North then issue a challenge for next week which Fulton happily accepts.
Tenille Dashwood def. Jordynne Grace
The former knockouts the champion looked to make light work of the returning Dashwood who also had a point to prove. The match would switch momentum but after a failed attempt at the Grace driver, Tenille would gain control and with her personal photographer Kaleb With a K at ringside he certainly earned his money. As Tenille rolled Grace up but left her dazed in the middle of the ring before she delivered the spotlight kick and the picks up the victory on her return.
After the show went off air we saw Eddie Edwards leaving the building just before the lights went out then as they came back up we’re left with the image of Eddie holding his body In pain.
