Wrestling: IWGP Champion faces PWG Champion, at ROH Field Of Honor

Coming off the heels of New Japans outstanding PPV show, Dominion, on July 5th. Ring Of Honor has announced today that the NEW IWGP Champion, Kazuchika Okada will defend his Championship against the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Champion, Roderick Strong.

Strong, who will face Jay Lethal on July 24th for the ROH Championship, is coming off the back of an outstanding 6 months with matches with the likes of Zack Sabre Jr, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kyle O’Reilly, Kushia, Chris Daniels and many others. He is arguably one of the best Wrestlers in the world right now, and come August 22nd, this match could become ROH/PWG Champion Vs. IWGP Champion.

Okada, is no slouch either and his MOTYC’s are a list of who’s who in Japanese Wrestling with the likes of Okada/Naito in January, and comes off the back of ANOTHER MOTYC at Dominion with AJ Styles. Widely considered the best wrestler in world… also.

On the card will also feature the Briscoes Vs. The Timesplitters (Shelly & Kushida), and this show ALSO goes head to head with the NXT Special in the Barclays Center, 11 miles down the road. It’s gonna be an amazing evening, in Brooklyn.
