Big Win’s for SANADA, Tetsuya Naito, Toru Yano and more.

EVIL [BULLET CLUB] blinded by darkness as Toru Yano [CHAOS] retains the KOPW 2021 on night one of Satsuma no Kuni.

The two men battled it out to see who is the real King of Pro-Wrestling, which included the use of hood and low blows. You can read the full review here.

Roppongi 3K reign in Kagoshima, defending their IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag-Team Championships against the Suzuki-Gun team of Yoshinobu Kanemaru and El Desperado on night one of Satsuma no Kuni.

YOH and SHO [CHAOS] fought in a tough match that saw the team come out victorious, now the next challenge, for YOH at least, is to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship off of El Desperado on night two of Wrestling Dontaku on 4th May 2021.

Los Ingobernables de Japon achieve victory in Hiroshima.

SANADA faced off against United Empire’s Aaron Henare in the semi-main event at Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall at NJPW’s Road to Wrestling Dontaku.

Despite Henare’s best efforts he couldn’t pull out a victory against the Cold Skull.

Tetsuya Naito was also victorious, in his adopted town of Hiroshima, on 26th April 2021 in the main event of NJPW’s Road to Wrestling Dontaku event. Naito came out on top against the United Empire’s Great-O-Kahn.

This Week In Japan

FinJuice retain IMPACT tag gold while El Phantasmo announced for 6th May episode.

FinJuice faced off in a rematch for the IMPACT Tag Titles against Gallows & Anderson. the match took place on Sunday 25th April 2021 at IMPACT Wrestling’s Rebellion event. Despite Anderson and Gallows’ best efforts, they couldn’t win back the titles from the colourful tag-team champions.

Two time Super J-Cup winner and former two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion El Phantasmo [BULLET CLUB] has been announced for the 6th May 2021 episode of IMPACT.

Jon Moxley vs Yuji Nagata announced for AEW Dynamite.

Moxley is set for his fourth title defence of the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship on the 12th May 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT. He will face off against New Japan legend Yuji Nagata, this will be the first time in three years that the title will be defended in a promotion other than New Japan Pro-Wrestling..

‘Filthy’ Tom Lawlor is crowned the first STRONG Openweight Champion as a part of New Japan of America [NJoA].

Tom Lawlor captured the STRONG title in a thrilling and hard hitting match against Brody King.

After his win Lawlor called for a new challenger for his title, no-one wanted to step up apart from fellow Team Filthy member Chris Dickinson.

This Friday on NJPW STRONG we will see a showcase of the LA Dojo. There will be three matches on the card, with an exciting main event.

The match card is as follows:

  • Match One | Singles Match: The DKC vs TJP
  • Semi-Main Event | Match Two | Tag-Team Match: Fred Rosser & Ren Narita vs Alex Coughlin & Kevin Knight
  • Main Event | Match Three | Singles Match: Clark Connors vs Karl Fredericks
This Week In Japan

Three Korakuen Hall events cancelled in the month of May.

As a result of the State of Emergency declared across Tokyo, Japan, NJPW has made the decision to cancel three events on the Road to Wrestle Grand Slam tour at Korakuen Hall on 8th, 10th and 11th May 2021.

The Wrestle Grand Slam shows in Yokohama Stadium on 15th May and the Tokyo Dome on 29th May will still go ahead as planned.

STARDOM: Stardom Golden Week tour 2021 card announced | News on Cinderella Tournament final

Stardom have announced the card’s for their Golden Week tour 2021, taking place in Hiroshima on 2nd May and Fukuoka on 4th and 5th May.

The tour includes a title defence for the Goddess of Stardom Championship Match, as well as a match for the next Challenger for the Goddess of Stardom Championship and five singles matches between Donna del Mondo and Stardom’s New Generation.

Update on Stardom’s Dream Cinderella Tournament final which is set to take place on 30th April 2021.

We see Starlight Kid, Saya Kamitani, Giulia, Maika, Mayu Iwatani, Honan, Syuri and Utami Hayashishita compete in the second round of the Dream Cinderella 2021 tournament, now taking place on 14th May 2021, while the Semi-Finals and finals will take place on 29th May 2021 at Ota Ward Gymnasium, Tokyo, Japan at 3pm JST.
