JOHN CENA SET TO RETURN TO SMACKDOWN
— WWE (@WWE) February 12, 2020
Announced yesterday night on WWE Backstage, John Cena will be returning to SmackDown on the 28th of February.
John hasn’t been seen since preforming in a rap battle with the Usos in July 2019. He last competed in the ring over a year ago, in January 2019. John decided to take a step back from wrestling and focus on his acting in 2018.
There is no official word as to the reason for Cena’s return, but speculation is that he will be setting up a match for WrestleMania.
Thank you to @WWE for allowing me the opportunity to come to #Smackdown @WWEonFOX to promote a project nearly 20 years in the making. #InvisibleMan 🖐😁 https://t.co/vN3FcK8RN2 pic.twitter.com/OWqhxUPyB6
— John Cena (@JohnCena) February 12, 2020
John posted jokingly about promoting a film, The Invisible Man. Although it is scheduled for release on the same day, and the Wiki lists John in the cast, IMDB doesn’t however.
Regarding John Cena and WrestleMania, I’ve been told they let Cena decide what he wanted to do completely. I would think since he’s coming back this month, he will wrestle on the show.

Popular Twitter account, WrestleVotes has reported that John has been given free rein regarding a Mania’ match.

The venue holding the event, Wells Fargo Center, has tweeted the participants to the men’s chamber match. While the event is happening at the beginning of March, very little of it has been promoted on WWE shows. CHRIS DICKINSON TO MAKE MLW DEBUT
— Major League Wrestling (@MLW) February 12, 2020
Chris Dickinson is set to make his MLW debut Saturday, April 18th at Intimidation Games.
Intimidation Games is set to be the next round of MLW tapings, taking place at Cicero Stadium, Cicero, Illinois. The following is taken from the MLW website:
A powerhouse wrestler, Dickinson is a tank in the ring known for taking his opponent’s best yet continuing to march forward and unleash destruction.
Bullying adversaries by imposing his strength, Dickinson is a challenge to many for his ability to quickly transition from power moves to technical wrestling only to overwhelm an opponent with a blitz of brawling. A hybrid wrestler of sorts, Dickinson is the master of the Pazuzu Bomb – a spectacular version of the Awesome Bomb into the turnbuckles.
Promising a “one man chi-town rumble” on April 18, the punishing powerhouse Chris Dickinson now sets his sights on Major League Wrestling.
