New Japan Cup Semi-Final delayed due to Earthquake in Japan

The New Japan Cup Semi-final has been delayed as Japan was rocked today by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake [27km from Ishinomaki, Miyagi, Japan] with a tsunami warning being issued for the northeast coast of the country.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling have taken a 20 minute interval to assess the situation and carry out safety checks after stopping a Six-Man Tag Team match between the team of Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi and the Bullet Club team of Jay White, KENTA & Yujiro Takahashi.

The event continued as planned, with Will Ospreay vs David Finlay and Shingo Takagi vs EVIL in the Semi-Finals of the New Japan Cup.

Tomorrow’s event will go ahead as planned.
