Last week, we took a look at the first half of the New Japan of America (NJoA) roster. This week, we complete our review with the second half. While we won’t have the star power of Jon Moxley and KENTA, we do have some familiar faces in the world of wrestling and a legend in mixed martial arts.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) has a long, proud history of developing stars through their Young Lion system in the New Japan Dojo.
Gran Hamada. Hiro Saito. Jushin Thunder Liger. Masahiro Chono. Keiji Mutoh. Ultimo Dragon. Hiroyoshi Tenzan. Yuji Nagata. Togi Makabe. Shinsuke Nakamura. Tetsuya Naito. Kazuchika Okada. Jay White. David Finlay. Juice Robinson…
All of the names above are graduates of the Dojo system and earned their stripes as Young Lions before going on to become the wrestlers they are. NJoA have their own Young Lions, currently training under Katsuyori Shibata (himself a Dojo graduate) in the LA Dojo. This review will take a look at these wrestlers, some of who will no doubt go on to become the stars of the future.
As before, the numbers after each name denote the wrestler’s win-loss record in New Japan Pro-Wrestling as a whole, including any cross-promotional events (such as ROH/NJPW Global Wars), at the time of writing.
