    Full Results

As expected with Bullet Club and Suzuki-gun facing each other, there is lots of cheating and referee bumps, making this a chaotic match between two of the best in the division.

Yoshinobu Kanemaru isn’t given enough credit for how much of a solid worker he is. He’s a man who can work with anyone, is technically sound and, in the case of his back and forth with ELP, can do moments of comedy yet it’s always mixed with a dangerous aggression.  El Desperado has had a phenomenal year and has great chemistry with both of his opponents, but seeing him and Ishimori really go for it and each other is something to behold.  ELP is a two time Super J-Cup winner and here he is showing us why he won, not just because of his cheating and scheming but also due to his work rate and pure ability in the ring.

Which is always thrown out the window when Bullet Club take out the referees, this time Red Shoes and Marty. Kanemaru brings out his whisky bottle and it seems like El Desperado is the only man in the ring trying to keep it clean.  We also have a third referee, Kenta, coming out and finally gets the match back on track, but it doesn’t mean that Kanemaru won’t try the Eddie Guerrero title belt trick on ELP and the latter hitting a low blow.  El Phantasmo then hits Kanemaru with a Super Kick to win the titles.

This now frees up El Desperado to go after the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship, providing Hiromu Takahashi retains his title, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru can go after the tag belts with the help of DOUKI going forward.

    Match Time: 23m 07s

WINNER: El Phantasmo via a Super Kick.

NEW IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions: El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori.
