The second and final day of Honor Rising saw the Golden Lovers reign supreme, but The Young Bucks drop a bombshell on the tag team division.
Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega avenged their six-man loss yesterday by beating the Bullet Club‘s Marty Scurll and Cody, following a devastating Golden Trigger on Scurll. However, a bold statement from Omega in which he proclaimed the Golden Lovers are the best tag team in the world brought our Kenny’s best friends and fellow B.C members, The Young Bucks.
The Young Bucks took offence to the claim, and then announced that they are officially moving up to the heavyweight tag division, possibly leading to a dream match between the Bucks and Golden Lovers.
It was a night of mixed fortunes for Beer City Bruiser, who after winning the opening contest against Toa Henare, interrupted the ROH Title match between Dalton Castle and Beretta, making it a triple threat match. Bruiser could not end the weekend as champion when Dalton pinned Bruiser with a deadlift german suplex to retain his gold.
In our second title match of the evening, Bullet Club kept the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championships, as The Guerrillas of Destiny and Bad Luck Fale beat the unique combination of Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, Delirious and Cheeseburger when the G.O.D hit Guerilla Warfare on Cheeseburger.
CHAOS won in six man tag team action as Jay White, Chuckie T and YOSHI-HASHI beat the team of Hangman Page and The Young Bucks. However, Hangman caused his own chaos after the match, brutalizing his opponents with a chair before dropping the IWGP United States Champion with a Rite of Passage.
In our final two matches, the L.I.J tandem of BUSHI and Hiromu Takahashi beat Ryusuke Taguchi and Flip Gordon when they hit Gordon with a doomsday MX, and David Finlay, Juice Robinson & Jay Lethal beat Bullet Club’s Yujiro Takahashi, Hikuleo & Chase Owens
