NEW JAPAN HELD THEIR LATEST PAY-PER-VIEW EVENT, WITH NEW CHAMPIONS AND NEW CHALLENGERS BEING CROWNED.
War Machine won the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles for the first time, beating TenCozy, the duo compromising of Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima at the Ryogoku Sumo Hall.
The main event saw Kazuchika Okada besting Katsuyori Shibata for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, following a Rainmaker lariat. Post-match saw Bad Luck Fale attack the champ from behind, setting up a future title match between the two.
There were two shocks on the card, with Hiromu Takahashi knocking off KUSHIDA in under two minutes for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title and Juice Robinson beat the IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito in an eight man tag team match, giving Juice’s team compromising of him, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Ricochet and Ryusuke Taguchi the win over Naito’s Los Ingobernables de Japon squad.
Hirooki Goto defeated Zack Sabre Jr to retain his NEVER Openweight Title, despite interference from Zack’s Suzuki-Gun stable mate Minoru Suzuki. Suzuki-Gun did keep the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships however, with Taichi and Yoshinobu Kanemaru besting Jado and Gedo.
The CHAOS trio of Beretta, Rocky Romero and YOSHI-HASHI beat the Suzuki-Gun team of El Desperado, Minoru Suzuki and TAKA Michinoku, and Bullet Club had a pair of team victories with Chase Owens, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and Yujiro Takahashi beating Tiger Mask, Tiger Mask W, Togi Makabe and Yuji Nagata and Bad Luck Fale and Kenny Omega defeating Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano.
Finally, in the pre-show David Finlay, Jushin Thunder Liger and Manabu Nakanishi defeated Hirai Kawato, Katsuya Kitamura and Tomoyuki Oka.
