NXT UK Results -12th December, 2019

Exactly one month away from NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II, the card is beginning to take shape.

Kay Lee Ray defeated Isla Dawn via pinfall (non-title match)

Ray got the win with a Gory Bomb. Dawn was quite competitive until that point, despite Ray targeting her legs.

After the match, Kay Lee Ray cut a promo saying that she is still in the mind of Toni Storm and that she has Piper Niven rattled. A seemingly unfazed Niven walked down to the ring, but was overtaken by Toni Storm who went for Ray. Storm and Niven stood off in the ring as Ray walked away. As a result, Sid Scala came out to announce that KLR will defend the NXT UK Women’s Championship against Toni Storm and Piper Niven at TakeOver: Blackpool II.

Jordan Devlin made another presentation, this time belittling Tyler Bate’s NXT UK career. He pointed out Bate’s losing efforts against the Grizzled Young Veterans and WALTER.

Joe Coffey is asked what it would mean to him to become the WWE UK Champion. He said that it is the “biggest score that NXT UK has to offer”, and that it has the biggest guy holding it. Coffey promised to leave his mark on WALTER and Imperium.

Michael May was set to debut in a match against Trent Seven, but he was attacked by Eddie Dennis before the match could begin. Dennis exited through the crowd as Seven helped May to the back.

Radzi asked Noam Dar about his claim that he is contractually guaranteed a TakeOver spot in the lead up to TakeOver: Cardiff. He stopped General Manager Johnny Saint and his assistant Sid Scala to ask about his match, claiming that he is going on a vacation to Benidorm until his match is announced. Scala told him that his contract doesn’t say what he thinks it does, and tells Dar that he is to face Tyler Bate next week.

Ridge Holland defeated Jack Starz via pinfall

Holland pinned Starz after hitting his ‘Northern Grit’ powerslam. He absolutely manhandled his opponent in this match.

Kenny Williams was minding his own business in the NXT UK Performance Centre, then he was reunited with Amir Jordan who had been injured for six months. Williams seemed excited to team with his own partner again.

NXT UK Tag Team Championship: Gallus Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) vs. Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) ended in a no-contest

The no-contest came after Zack Gibson and James Drake of the Grizzled Young Veterans ran out to steal the NXT UK Tag Titles, then Andrews and Webster confronted them and a huge brawl including Gallus and Imperium erupted in the ring.

After the dust had settled, Johnny Saint and Sid Scala came out and announced that at TakeOver Blackpool II, Gallus will defend the NXT UK Tag Team Titles against Imperium, South Wales Subculture and the Grizzled Young Veterans in a four-way ladder match.
