WWE OFFERING DISCOUNTED TICKETS FOR UPCOMING PAY PER VIEW
In an effort to ensure a full house for their upcoming Extreme Rules pay per view, WWE is offering two for one deals on tickets.
This is the second premium event that WWE has had to resort to discounting tickets for. Last month’s Stomping Grounds saw only four thousand five hundred tickets sold. The venue it was held in could seat eighteen thousand fans, with production in place. It was also reported that WWE was giving tickets away on the morning of Stomping Grounds in a bid to better fill the venue.
Extreme Rules is set to be held in the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The venue also played host to the 2018 Royal Rumble. The 2018 Rumble enjoyed an attendance of 17,629 reportedly. Other WWE events held in the venue have seen numbers of fifteen thousand (In Your House 10: Mind Games, 1996) and twelve and a half thousand (Battleground, 2017).
SMACKDOWN RATINGS FALL
SmackDown’s viewship fell again this week, down two percent from last week. The show attracted an average of only 1.89 million views across the two hours. This comes against a backdrop of RAW’s improved numbers and is one of the lowest figures since SmackDown moved to Tuesday nights in 2016.
MARIA KANELLIS RESPONDS TO REPORTS SURROUNDING HER PREGNANCY
Maria Kanellis made headlines earlier this week, revealing her pregnancy during a mixed tag match with her husband, taking on Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
Since that moment there has been a steady stream of reports about the couple, the pregnancy, and their new contract.
Maria has broken her silence, releasing a series of posts addressing the situation. In the messages she slams some of the reporters writing articles on the situation. She says that they’re being played by their sources and reporters need to be professional.
I’m starting to wonder when the Wrestling “News” sites are gonna realize they are getting played by sources desperate for attention. Attacking a pregnant women with false accusations could get you fired in another profession. Be professional. Do the research. Maria also points out that many of the reporters used to beg her for interviews when she worked on the independent circuit.
Furthermore, some of these “reporters” used to beg me for interviews when I was on the indys. You want me to start taking photos of your emails and sending them out? I don’t think so. Just sit back and enjoy the show. Because I certainly am enjoying all of you looking like fools.— MariaKanellisBennett (@MariaLKanellis) July 4, 2019
That’s all I want to say on that. I’d rather do my job, enjoy my daughter, and rest for my pregnancy.— MariaKanellisBennett (@MariaLKanellis) July 4, 2019
