PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 64 ‘Thunderbastards Are Go’ Results

PROGRESS rolled on once again as they brought out their signature match, but we were left with more questions than answers.

Flash Morgan Webster was the shock winner of the 2018 Thunderbastard, last eliminating Tyler Bate with a roll-up, after seemingly dismissing the interference of Vicky Haskins. However, following Travis BanksPROGRESS Title retention via a roll-up on a dominant Matt Riddle, Flash appeared with Haskins in tow, signalling his title shot which he earned via the Thunderbastard will come sooner rather than later.

The other story from this was the continuing saga between Mark Andrews and Eddie Dennis. After Dennis duped PROGRESS management into letting him wrestle in this match injured, he cleared the ring awaiting the final entrant, which happened to be a sheepish Mandrews. But, just as Andrews was about to hit the ring, TK Cooper rolled up Dennis denying him his shot at his former tag partner.

Zack Gibson and James Drake managed to regain their PROGRESS Tag Team Titles, beating Mark Haskins and Jimmy Havoc. Jimmy Havoc was carried out early on after re-injuring his knee with a double stomp on the outside. The match looked over, but following Gibson’s goading of Haskins, Mark went in two-on-one, only for Havoc to return and try and save the day. However, this wasn’t to be as Gibson defeated Havoc to make the Grizzled Young Veterans two-time tag champions.

Also, Mark Davis advanced in the Natural Progression Series by beating Maverick Mayhew with a vicious pop-up piledriver and Zack Sabre Jr bested Jonah Rock in a huge marquee match-up via submission.

Finally, we also saw Charlie Morgan beat Millie McKenzie with a implant DDT after Jinny hit McKenzie with her cast and Jack Sexsmith alongside David Starr beat the debuting team of The Anti-Fun Police, Chief Deputy Dunne and Los Federales Santos Jr when Sexsmith pinned Dunne following a Product Placement/Big Double Stompy Move combination.
